"Aptly Aprons" - Festival Teas

Sumptuous afternoon tea served in the elegant Georgian Museum, 105 East Wheeling Street, Lancaster.

Enjoy a three-course menu including sweets and savories and endless tea poured from sterling silver pots. 

Tuesday, July 28 or Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 4:00 pm.

The Sherman House Museum

Built in 1811 this home was the birthplace of Civil War General William Tecumseh Sherman and his brother U.S. Senator John Sherman.  A National Historic Landmark, it features an outstanding Civil War exhibit and Sherman Family Treasures.

 

The Georgian Museum

A mansion of 13 rooms built for Samuel and Sarah Maccracken is furnished today as it might have been in the 1830s with some original pieces and numerous Fairfield County items.

Museums Open - The Sherman House and Georgian Museums are open for tours Tuesday-Sunday from 1-4pm 

July 24 - Lancaster Festival Art Walk

July 26 - Lancaster Festival Antique Show and Sale       on Zane Square

July 28 & 30 - Festival Tea in the Georgian Museum - 4 pm

September 20 - Sherman House Garden Party - 5 p.m.

October 23 - Cemetery Walk at 5, 6:30 & 8 p.m.

November 12 - Annual Meeting and Election of Officers

December 6 - Christmas Tea in the Georgian Museum - 4 pm.

December 12 - Candlelight Tour and last day the museums are open for the season.
