2009-2010 Program Schedule Meetings begin at 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month - except June, July, August and December - at the Sherman House Museum Nov. 11, 2009 - Speaker: Civil War author and Pamplin Historical Park President A. Wilson Greene on "The Petersburg Campaign." Jan. 10, 2010 - Speaker: Monty Chase, descendant of Salmon P. Chase, Treasury Secretary under President Abraham Lincoln. Feb. 13, 2010 - Community celebration of Gen. William T. Sherman's 190th birthday, featuring a concert of Civil War-era music and speakers Chris Evans and Frank Bullock; Elks Lodge, 129 E. Main St. Mar. 17, 2010 - Mnemonics I: How We Remember, USA, Arlington National Cemetery, video presentation by Dr. A. McGreevy. Apr. 21, 2010 - Mnemonics II: How They Remember, Japan, Yasukuni Jinja Temple, video presentation by Dr. A. McGreevy. May 19, 2010 - Re-enactment of Civil War life around the campfire, Green Mound Farm.
