The 2010 Annual Cemetery Tour was held Friday, October 29th at Forest Rose Cemetery. The Fairfield Heritage Association wishes to thank Michelle Peters for chairing this successful event, and the reenactors for sharing their time, talent and love of history.

      The early local citizens who were portrayed (and the reenactors) were: Miss Tella Effinger (portrayed by Lacey Young), Charles and Minnie Marks (portrayed by Scott and Beth Craft), Philip Nester (portrayed by Bill Boone), Rev. Andrew Swartz (portrayed by Rev. Ray Sharritts) and John Vought (portrayed by Deward Watts).

      We are most grateful for the assistance provided by volunteer guides; Stuart Vault Company (tents); Frank E. Smith Funeral Home (chairs); City of Lancaster Transportation Department; Dave Hinerman from the Cemetery Department; City of Lancaster Fire Department; Jason Scott, Lancaster Fire Department Historian; and Mayor David Smith.
