Afternoon Teas

Guests are invited to enjoy sumptuous afternoon tea in the magnificently restored Georgian Museum at different times during the year. Volunteers serve tea fromPosh Purses & Beautiful Bags sterling-silver pots and bring to each table three-tiered trays overflowing with goodies. China, silver, linen cloths and napkins, floral arrangements and favors with exquisite details add elegance to the three-course menu and endless tea.

Delightful themes are used to further enhance the experience. Posh Purses & Beautiful Bags were presented at the summer 2004 tea, while German nutcrackers were featured in December 2003 for the Nutcracker Sweets Tea. Red roses and shining silver offered a spectacular backdrop for a Sterling Christmas Tea in 2004.

Featured on the menu of Christmas teas past were: orange-cranberry scones, golden curd and Devonshire cream, chicken salad en croissant, fruit spears, ribbon sandwiches, shortbread gems, chocolate mint meringues, snowflake mousse, and cherries in the snow.

Tea will be served at 4 p.m. on:

Tuesday and Thursday, July 22 & 24, 2008 - TBA
$35.00 per person
